SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKERS:

Monday, Tuesday: Colin Lake, Fish Biologist – Ministry of Natural Resources – Glenora;

Wednesday: Chris Robinson, Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters: salmon restoration program;

Thursday: Tim Johnson, Ministry of Natural Resources: Invasive Species.

15, 17, 19 March, 2 pm: Paddle to the Sea

Join us for a screening of the National Film Board’s Paddle to the Sea, a film version of Holling C. Holling’s classic children’s book.  Follow the adventures of ‘Paddle’ as he sails from Lake Nipigon to the Atlantic Ocean.  Along the way he saves a frog, befriends a water snake, gets beached on the shore, and is caught by a child.  While the film was originally intended for a children's audience, adults will certainly appreciate some of the beautiful scenery and cinematography, which earned the film an Academy Award.

Recommended age: 5 years to adult

16, 18 March, 2 pm: Mysteries of the Great Lakes

Bring the kids along for a screening of: Mysteries of the Great Lakes, a film version of the IMAX production, presented courtesy of Science North.  It takes a drop of water nearly 400 years to travel from the headwaters of Lake Superior to the edge of Lake Ontario.  Along the way, the water passes by towering cliffs dotted with early Native American pictographs, caribou and moose grazing on the shores, over giant prehistoric sturgeon lurking among thousands of shipwrecks and past nearly 40 million people who live along the more than 10,000 miles of coastline.  It is a dramatic journey through some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.

Recommended age: 9 years to adult

Admission by free-will donation
